1.​ ​Use​ ​a​ ​stable,​ ​heat-resistant​ ​surface​ ​to​ ​place​ ​the​ ​candle,​ ​preferably​ ​a​ ​candle​ ​holder​ ​designed​ ​for​ ​this​ ​purpose.​ ​The​ ​holder​ ​should​ ​be​ ​sturdy,​ ​heat-resistant,​ ​and​ ​large​ ​enough​ ​to​ ​catch​ ​any​ ​drips​ ​or​ ​melted​ ​wax.​ ​Remember​ ​to​ ​keep​ ​the​ ​candle​ ​away​ ​from​ ​anything​ ​that​ ​could​ ​catch​ ​fire,​ ​and​ ​never​ ​leave​ ​it​ ​unattended,​ ​especially​ ​around​ ​children​ ​or​ ​pets.
